Bright sparks boost charity funds

Moore Thompson staff have raised more than £300 for charity by putting their general knowledge to the test.

More than 40 people took part in a quiz night at Spalding Rugby Club, which raised £306 for the Moore Thompson Charitable Fund CIO, the firm’s in-house charity that raises funds for good causes locally, regionally and nationally.

Winning team Bobby’s Girls, made up of April Barker, Heather Bright and Jenny and Rosie Nicolson, took home a £100 cash prize, while other competitors won prizes by taking party in a raffle.

Moore Thompson managing partner Mark Hildred said: “We are absolutely delighted that this quiz night has raised so much money.

“When we set up the Moore Thompson Charitable Fund last year we never thought it would be so successful but everyone has really got into the spirit of things and we have already managed to raise thousands of pounds.

“As a long-established local business, we know that it is important to give something back to our community by supporting charities and organisations.”

Advising charities has always been an important part of Moore Thompson’s work and we have a strong track record in supporting organisations in the not-for-profit and voluntary sectors to operate efficiently and compliantly and to make the most of their resources for key priorities.

Our practical experience in running our own charitable organisation adds even more value to the advice we can give to other charities and not-for-profit bodies.
