A team of accountants from East-of-England-based firm Moore Thompson are celebrating having raised hundreds of pounds for a number of good causes.
Staff from the practice, which has offices in Market Deeping, Wisbech and Spalding, raised £213 in one day through the sale of homemade cakes to their fellow colleagues.
The funds raised during the charity baking event will go to The Moore Thompson Charitable Fund, which aims to support a number of local and national charities throughout the year.
Mark Hildred, Managing Partner at Moore Thompson, said: “The Moore Thompson Bake-Off was a huge success and it was amazing to see the number and wide variety of cakes that were made by staff.
“Everyone really got into the spirit of the day and the event has helped our Foundation raise a lot of money that will go to a number of good causes in the coming months.”
The Moore Thompson Charitable Fund was officially launched in 2014 and is led by a board of trustees made up of staff members from the firm’s three offices. It plans to hold a number of events during the year to raise money for a number of good causes.
