Charity fundraising makes difference to LIVES

Moore Thompson’s in-house charity has donated nearly £1,500 to Lincolnshire’s voluntary emergency care service, LIVES, following a year of fundraising.

Generous clients, fellow professionals and members of staff spent the last 12 months carrying out a number of events, such as charity quizzes, to raise money for LIVES – an organisation with more than 700 specially trained volunteers across the region, which helps on average 55 people per day.

In total our in house charity – the Charity Fund CIO – raised £2,928 during 2016, half of which has been donated to LIVES.

A similar amount will soon be donated to Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, our other chosen charity of 2016.

Moore Thompson Managing Partner, Mark Hildred, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the amount we have managed to raise in 2016 and we are very happy that it is going to such wonderful local causes.

“We have all enjoyed getting involved in the fundraising, so it is really rewarding to see the money being put to a good use.”

Later this year, in July, nine colleagues from the firm are hoping to overcome their fear of heights by abseiling down The Orbit in London to raise money for the Fund.
