Accountancy Firms Merge In Wisbech
Two long established Wisbech accountancy practices have merged with effect from 1st May 2008. Stephenson Smart & Co joined the practice of Moore Thompson with effect from this date.
Existing staff at Stephenson Smart and Co have all moved across to Moore Thompson’s Wisbech offices at Monica House, St Augustines Road, Wisbech, giving continuity to clients, who will also benefit from enhanced support from within Moore Thompson’s team as and when required.
Moore Thompson is an eight-partner practice with offices in Spalding, Wisbech and Marketing Deeping, established over 80 years ago with origins from a Stephenson Smart & Co practice. Chris Wright, the proprietor of Stephenson Smart & Co, became a Moore Thompson partner with effect from 1st May 2008.
Mark Hildred, managing partner at Moore Thompson, said: “We are delighted that this new venture will allow us to offer a quality service to former Stephenson Smart and Co clients, at the same cost level.
“This move also supports our aim of continuing growth in the area, while allowing us to develop and strengthen the Wisbech practice.”
