Accountancy Firm Continues To Expand

Accountancy firm Moore Thompson, which serves clients in Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire, is continuing to grow with the takeover of another local accountancy practice.

Moore Thompson has just taken over Emmerson’s, in Market Deeping, where it already has a substantial office. The move will build the firm’s presence locally and supports its growing client base in and around Market Deeping, Stamford and Peterborough.

Existing staff at Emmerson’s will be retained under the new arrangement, giving continuity to clients, who will also benefit from enhanced support from within Moore Thompson’s team, including its accounts and taxation departments, as and when required.

Emmerson’s clients will also be able to draw on the knowledge and professional skills of other members of the Moore Thompson team with extensive experience of the business sectors in which they operate.

Mark Hildred, managing partner at Moore Thompson, said: “We are delighted that this new venture will allow us to offer a quality service to former Emmerson’s clients, at the same cost level.

“This move also supports our aim of continuing growth in the area, while allowing us to develop and strengthen the Market Deeping practice.”

Moore Thompson has branches in Spalding, Wisbech as well as Market Deeping. The Emmerson’s office will be absorbed into Moore Thompson’s Market Deeping operation.
