East of England-based accountants Moore Thompson are preparing to hold a seminar aimed at helping business with the process of auto-enrolment.
The series of talks being held at the South Holland Centre in Spalding from 4.30pm on 11 February have been designed to help businesses with the process of automatically enrolling eligible staff into workplace pensions.
The process, which is already well underway at some of the countries large and medium-sized businesses, requires employers to sign their staff up on to a scheme and must be completed by every UK business by 2018.
Planning ahead is crucial for any firm, not matter what size it is, and in order to help Tim Martin, a partner at Moore Thompson, will be discussing the importance of auto-enrolment within firms.
Trevor Wilshire, director of MT Financial Management, will also be at the evening speaking about reviewing existing pension schemes and how this can be used to meet auto-enrolment requirements.
He will be joined by Melvyn Price and Marian Boxall of Moore Thompson Computer Consultancy Limited, who will be providing information on how technology can help businesses with auto-enrolment.
Commenting on the event Tim Martin said: “It is never too early to start planning for auto-enrolment.
“Coming and speaking to us at this free seminar will help you begin to plan for your staging date and will help make the complex process easier to understand.”
A representative from accountancy and payroll specialists Sage will also be on hand to highlight the Pensions Module for Sage 50 Payroll Auto Enrolment Edition and Sage One Accounts Extra.
The evening will include refreshments and a chance to ask the panel of speakers about any aspect of auto-enrolment.
