Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance celebrate donation from local accountants

One of the East of England’s leading firms of accountants, Moore Thompson, has handed over a cheque for nearly £1,500 to Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance following a year of successful fundraising.

The firm’s in-house charity, the Moore Thompson Charity Fund CIO, raised around £3,000 in 2016 by holding a range of events for members of the local business community, including its popular annual quiz.

The money donated at these events was then split equally between the charity LIVEs and Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, each receiving £1,464.25.

Mark Hildred, Managing Partner at Moore Thompson, said: “We were so delighted to finally welcome Lincolnshire Air Ambulance to our offices to present this cheque to them.

“All of our staff really enjoyed spending last year raising money for this fantastic cause and I hope the amount that we have donated goes some way to supporting it.”

This year the Moore Thompson Charity Fund CIO is raising money for a number of local causes, including Anna’s Hope, The Lincolnshire Autistic Society and the Priory School.

In order to do this, the firm is hosting a race night on Thursday 8 June 2017, their professional quiz of the year on 5 October 2017 and its staff will abseil down The Orbit in London on 22 July 2017.
