Moore Thompson is offering a new grant service to clients, which has been made possible with the appointment of a highly experienced bid writer.
Janet Brown has joined the firm in the newly created role of manager in our Grant and Funding Services team, to assist it with the launch of the new service which will aim to assist clients seeking funding from grants, both in the public and private sector.
She will be working alongside Moore Thompson’s existing team to identify potential opportunities for clients in this area and assisting them with the preparation of bids and tenders.
This will particularly be aimed at Moore Thompson’s clients who are looking to expand their export network, recruit more staff and launch new products or those who are undergoing significant capital spending.
Speaking about her appointment, Janet said: “More and more businesses these days could benefit from grant funding and yet very few explore this area, as they are concerned about the difficult processes involved with securing investment in this area.
“I hope my appointment as a bid writer will prove useful to those wishing to take advantage of the opportunities on offer, many of whom have struggled in the past with tough the research and procedures required.”
Moore Thompson already offers a wide range of services to clients ranging from day-to-day bookkeeping through to complex tax planning and financial advice through its sister firm MT Financial Management.
Moore Thompson’s Managing Partner, Mark Hildred said: “Our accountants are often asked about grant funding, bids and tenders, and while we have always been happy to offer advice we haven’t always been able to proactively look for grants to assist their business as much as we would like to.
“This is where Janet comes in. She will actively seek out grants and prepare bids on behalf of our clients – a service which will make us standout as a value-added accountancy.”
