International archery athlete Abbie Spinks has joined Moore Thompson as a trainee.

She will be training towards her AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Level 3 qualification with Moore Thompson, alongside her work providing tax and accountancy services to businesses and sole traders.

Speaking about her appointment, Abbie said: “I am really excited to be joining Moore Thompson as a trainee and I feel very confident that I will do well with this firm.

“I hope my keen eye on the archery range will translate into a keen eye for financial figures while I am conducting my training.”

Outside of work Abbi is heavily involved in training and is on her way towards representing Great Britain for the third time.

She has been competing internationally for the last eight years with great success and has won a number of awards, the most prestigious achievement being crowned European Silver medallist in July this year.

Moore Thompson’s Managing Partner, Mark Hildred, said: “We are delighted that Abbie has chosen to join our firm. She clearly has the competitive edge and a strong work ethic outside of work and we hope she can bring this into her studies with us.”
