East of England-based accountants Moore Thompson are celebrating their success having reached the finals of the Service Recognition, Awards & Achievements event.
The firm, which was a finalist in the Employer Supported Volunteering category, narrowly missed out on winning the award during the event at Blackfriars in Boston, but are still proud to have been shortlisted for the prestigious title.
They were recognised by the judges at this year’s event for their innovative work in setting up a Trustee Charity Forum in their area, which helped a wide-range of organisations throughout 2014.
Mark Hildred, Managing Partner at Moore Thompson, which has offices in Spalding, Wisbech and Market Deeping, said: “We were very excited to be nominated in these local awards and especially delighted to be named as a finalist in the Employer Supported Volunteering category.
“It was a shame that we didn’t go home with the award, but it is humbling to know that the hard work of everyone at Moore Thompson has been recognised in some way. We look forward to doing even better next year.”
Recognition, Awards & Achievements is organised by Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service which works with local voluntary and community groups to promote and develop effective local voluntary action and provide a range of services.
These include giving information, advice, training and networking opportunities as well as assisting new groups through developing initiatives to meet an identified need.
