Katie joined Moore Thompson in 2011 as a tax assistant and became the firm’s payroll manager in 2015.

She leads the firm’s payroll specialists in ensuring payroll services for clients are delivered efficiently and to their required frequency, ranging from weekly to annually. She also advises clients on any liabilities due and liaises with HM Revenue & Customs to ensure that payroll matters are dealt with in line with all requirements.

A key priority for Katie is to ensure clients receive the best possible advice and service on payroll and related matters, including implementing pensions auto-enrolment and its implications for payroll.

Her expertise also includes Real Time Information reporting, completing P11D forms and producing annual reports for payroll and she is experienced in Sage Payroll, using her skills to train colleagues in using the package.

Katie began her professional career in 2009 as a finance assistant with holidays and holiday homes group Bourne Leisure, owner of Butlin’s, Haven Holidays and Warner Leisure Hotels, in Skegness. She is working towards qualification as a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians, which she expects to achieve in 2015.
