Planning ahead on payroll changes
Changes are on the way that could affect your payroll – and at Moore Thompson, we’re working to stay a step ahead.
Currently, we use the Faxpay system to transmit many of our clients’ payroll information to their bank via fax, so that the bank can pay wages into employees’ accounts.
But in a world where more and more business is carried out electronically, the banks are starting to phase out Faxpay. At least one of the big high street bank has stopped using Faxpay and others are likely to follow suit.
The alternative is Bacs, which operates the safe, secure and convenient Direct Debit and Bacs Direct Credit electronic payment systems.
Moore Thompson’s professional payroll team already sends payroll information via Bacs for some clients. Now we are looking at investing in a Bacs system to support all our payroll clients and would like to find out whether you would be interested in this service.
As a payroll client, you’ll already know how our service saves you valuable time and resources and ensures that your staff are paid correctly, in a way that keeps you compliant with your statutory obligations.
Switching from Faxpay to Bacs means we will continue to process your payroll, print reports and payslips and provide your bank with the information needed to pay your employees, but by using software that exports information directly into bank systems, it will be dealt with even more efficiently and quickly.
To help us evaluate interest in a future Bacs system, click here to take you to an online feedback form that will take just a couple of minutes to complete.
