Ken Maggs graduated in accounting and finance from Nottingham Trent Polytechnic’s business school, then trained and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1995 with a small, local firm. I joined Moore Thompson in July 2000 and became a partner in 2006. I have experience in various areas including:
He has worked with farms, estates and commercial clients, from sole traders to listed utility companies, and his current clients include several substantial farms and commercial clients, in advertising, art, books, construction, financial consultancy, horticultural retail and wholesale activities. In 2004, Ken became a responsible individual, able to sign off audit reports, and he holds a practising certificate with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW). His responsibility for the firm’s technical compliance means that he continuously develops his technical knowledge, to benefit both the firm and our clients, and as a result of this role he sits on the Regional Committee of the ICAEW. Ken believes in talking to his clients in a language they understand and considers that a proactive approach to understanding what they do, and their specific needs, is essential.
