Matt Storey joined Moore Thompson in May 2008, following the firm’s merger with Wisbech accountants Stephenson Smart & Co. He began his career in accountancy when he joined Stephenson Smart & Co in 2000, after completing his A levels. Since then, he has developed expertise in audit, accounts and taxation, including carrying out tax planning exercises. Matt is also experienced in setting up accounts packages and systems for clients, and providing training in these. As an audit and accounts senior, Matt is responsible for a portfolio of client businesses of all sizes, in sectors including farming, food processing, service industries and retail, and he finds particular satisfaction in knowing that his assistance and advice helps them to achieve greater profits and run their operations more efficiently.
