Win up to £5,000 in grant funding through new TikTok and QuickBooks start-up competition

Budding entrepreneurs could win up to £5,000 in grant funding to launch their own business through the new Purposeful Project scheme, it has been announced.

Developed in partnership with cloud accounting provider QuickBooks and video sharing platform TikTok, the initiative will support both start-ups and scale-ups.

Here’s what you need to know.

How do I enter?

The Purposeful Project scheme takes a unique approach to processing applications. To enter, entrepreneurs over the age of 18 must follow @simonsquibb on TikTok and put together a short 30 to 60 second video pitch on the app. The pitch should briefly explain the concept and the overall business plan.

Applications should also complete this form with a link to their video pitch.

What do I win?

The winner will receive £5,000 in funding, as well as two hours of mentorship from “12 of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs”, marketing support from The Purposeful Project and TikTok, and a year of financial, business and marketing advice from QuickBooks.

When does the competition close?

The competition closes on 30th June 2021 and the winner will be announced on 7th July 2021. More details can be found here.
