\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the start of the new year, it\u2019s always worth exploring some of the available grants that might be useful to your business.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Recently, I\u2019ve been watching the Government website (and some of the best grant providers\u2019 websites) and have come up with a few potential recommendations for our clients.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s always best to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moorethompson.co.uk\/contact-us\/\">speak to a grants expert<\/a> before applying for these but here are some that stand out to me.<\/p>\n<p>You can find links to all these grants at the end of the article!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Electric vehicle infrastructure grant for staff and fleets *<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This grant helps small and medium-sized businesses reduce the cost of installing electric vehicle charging points and infrastructure for their staff and fleet vehicles.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location \u2013 <\/strong>National<\/li>\n<li><strong>Applies to \u2013 <\/strong>Public sector, non-profit, private sector<\/li>\n<li><strong>Closing date \u2013 <\/strong>31 March 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>Amount \u2013 <\/strong>Up to \u00a315,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This could be particularly useful if you are looking to convert or expand your fleet into electric vehicles (which also offer some tax relief).<\/p>\n<p>Certainly, if you are thinking about installing electric charging points for staff, the grant could cut a lot of the costs!<\/p>\n<p><em>*A similar scheme exists for landlords, so if you\u2019d like more information, please get in touch with the Moore Thompson team.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Community Ownership Fund (non-profit) <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This is a \u00a3150 million fund over 4 years to support community groups across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>Essentially, it helps non-profits and community groups take ownership of assets which are at risk of being lost to the community.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location <\/strong>\u2013 National<\/li>\n<li><strong>Applies to \u2013 <\/strong>Public sector and non-profit organisations<\/li>\n<li><strong>Closing date<\/strong> \u2013 31 March 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>Amount<\/strong> \u2013 Between \u00a31 and \u00a32 million<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This grant is offered by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and could be a major cash boost for charities.<\/p>\n<p>The idea is that the fund provides financial support to help communities save and sustainably manage local assets at risk.<\/p>\n<p>It could help you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take ownership of at-risk community assets like land or buildings.<\/li>\n<li>Renovate or refurbish assets for long-term sustainability.<\/li>\n<li>Set up or buy a community business.<\/li>\n<li>Purchase related stock, collections, or intellectual property.<\/li>\n<li>Relocate a community asset within the same area for better use.<\/li>\n<li>Develop new assets linked to saving or preserving existing ones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you\u2019re interested in capitalising on this and would like help doing so, please <a sector by attracting international events, enhancing their global profile, and fostering new events.<\/p>\n<p>The overarching goal with this grant is for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitbritain.com\/en\">VisitBritain<\/a> to aid organisations in hosting and expanding international business events.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location<\/strong> \u2013 England, Wales, and Scotland<\/li>\n<li><strong>Applies to<\/strong> \u2013 Public Sector, Non-profit, Private Sector, Local authority<\/li>\n<li><strong>Closing date<\/strong> \u2013 31 January 2025<\/li>\n<li><strong>Amount<\/strong> \u2013 Between \u00a32,000 and \u00a320,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The programme welcomes applications from a range of organisations, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Event organisers<\/li>\n<li>Convention bureaus<\/li>\n<li>Convention centres<\/li>\n<li>Universities<\/li>\n<li>Other associations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The funder requests that partnerships be clearly outlined in applications so it\u2019s important you get this right.<\/p>\n<p>As such \u2013 and with all the available grants out there at the moment \u2013 we highly recommend
