Local businesses give generously to accountant’s charity quiz

Businesses, organisations and high-profile individuals from across the East of England have donated a range of prizes to leading local accountants Moore Thompson for their upcoming charity quiz.

Family tickets to Burghley House and Gardens, a House of Commons bottle of wine from MP John Hayes and a two night stay at Village Hotel Club are just a few of the items on offer to the teams of professional taking part in the quiz and raffle.

The firm’s professional event will see teams from some of the East of England’s leading firms pit their wits against each other in aid of Moore Thompson Charitable Fund CIO – the firm’s in-house charity that supports a number of local and national good causes.

Entry for the event, which takes place on 22 September 2016 at The Function Suite, South Holland Centre in Spalding, is open to local professional businesses and is often oversubscribed.

Craig Reid, Partner at Moore Thompson, said: “Our annual charity quiz night has really grown in popularity over the last few years. This year we have decided to include invites to a number of local professional businesses, who are trying to establish themselves as the region’s brainiest firm.

“Donations such as these from local companies and organisations make a massive difference to our charity events and really boost our fundraising total. I would like to thank all of those who have offered their services and prizes to us.”

Last year Moore Thompson raised more than £2,600 through a number of charity events and sponsored activities, which it has donated to Cancer Research and the Princes Trust.
