Many businesses will have to incorporate digital systems into their financial reporting under the Government’s MTD plans, which will initially see all business above the VAT threshold (£85,000) required to submit quarterly VAT reports online by April 2019 using specialist software.
To help firms adapt to these new legal requirements Moore Thompson has launched a dedicated service called MT Cloud, which is an innovative solution that combines professional cloud accounting software options with the help and support of the firm’s experienced Chartered Accountants.
To help businesses and their owners reap the benefits afforded by cloud-based accounting, the firm’s experienced team will be offering a series of free workshops starting with an event at South Holland Centre in Market Place, Spalding on 15 March 2018.
Starting a 3pm, the workshop will cover the new MTD regime, the benefits of accounting using software such as Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, and Receipt Bank and the support that its team can provide.
Mark Hildred, Managing Partner at Moore Thompson, said: “Businesses are constantly under pressure to update their procedures, but their accounts are the one thing that is often neglected.
“MT Cloud offers businesses a simple solution that allows them to take an active role with their accounts while benefitting from real-time collaboration with our team – no matter where they are in the world.
“With the changes to taxation just on the horizon now is the perfect time for businesses to adopt an online accounting solution and MT Cloud is ready to serve them.”
Moore Thompson will also be hosting free workshops at its offices in Wisbech (Monica House, St Augustines Road, Wisbech, PE13 3AD) on 26 April 2018 and its offices in Market Deeping (Bank Chambers, 27A Market Place, Market Deeping, PE6 8EA) on 24 May 2018.
