Save the Children gets festive donation from local accountants

Staff and Partners at East of England accountancy firm Moore Thompson have donned bright Christmas jumpers to raise money for Save the Children.

The team at the firm, which has offices in Peterborough, Spalding, Wisbech and Market Deeping, dug out their favourite festive pullovers to take part in the charity’s national Christmas jumper day appeal and managed to raise more than £250.

The funding will now be used by the international aid charity to provide care and support to young people around the world struggling with issues such as hunger, healthcare and protection.

Moore Thompson has taken part in this annual fundraising tradition for several years now, as part of its wider charity work within the local community.

Mark Hildred, Managing Partner at Moore Thompson, said: “It has been great bringing some festive cheer to our offices with our annual Christmas jumper day. Everyone really got into the spirit of the event and there were a wide range of knitted designs on display.

“As well as making us all feel Christmassy, it has helped to raise a fantastic amount of money for such a worthy cause – especially given the events of this year.”
