Manufacturers urged to act on funding worth up to £150,000 as accountancy firm expands grant support
UK manufacturers preparing to scale up production are being encouraged to explore a funding programme that could provide between £25,000 and £150,000 in support, according to accountancy and business advisory firm Moore Thompson.
The Scale-Up Accelerator, delivered through the High Value Manufacturing (HVM) Catapult, is designed for businesses that have already proven their product and are moving into the challenging next phase: scaling up to full manufacturing.
The programme provides access to expertise, facilities and specialist capabilities across six world-leading manufacturing centres, helping ambitious manufacturers bridge the gap between product validation and commercial production.
The funding is aimed at high-growth potential companies that are ready to plan new pilot, demonstrator or full-scale production lines and are preparing to raise finance or gain board approval for capital investment. Businesses already in the early stages of scale-up and seeking support to de-risk further industrialisation, may also be eligible.
The programme is aligned with the UK Government’s Modern Industrial Strategy and is open to companies operating in priority sectors including aerospace, automotive, clean energy, life sciences, agri-tech, defence, space and digital and AI, as well as businesses within their supply chains.
