Could you be eligible for one of the Government’s new agricultural grants?

The Government has recently announced grant funding opportunities in the agricultural sector.

These grants will be available across the spring  and will be offered for equipment, technology, and innovation.

The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) 

  • Grants for equipment, technology and small infrastructure
  • £1,000 – £25,000 available
  • Launches in spring
  • Aims to boost productivity, improve slurry management and animal health and welfare

The Farming Innovation Programme (FIP)

  • Available to those who want to develop and use new, innovative methods and technologies
  • Applications made through entering competitions that provide:
    • Up to £12.5 million to fund research to deliver the practical benefits of precision breeding technology to farmers
    • Up to £12.5 million across projects to fund research focusing on technologies and practices to help transition the sector towards Net Zero
    • Up to £17.6 million for projects that range from early-stage feasibility to those at a later stage in the R&D pipeline towards commercialisation

Accelerating Development of Practices and Technologies Fund (ADOPT) 

  • Launches in spring
  • Funds projects between £50,000 to £100,000
  • For farmers and farm businesses to trial new technology and methods on their farm
  • Aims to discover innovative ways of boosting farm productivity, food security, and environmental recovery
