Grant funding to enhance quality of life in England and Wales
The Bernard Sunley Foundation is now offering grants to charities, specialist schools, CIOs, and other not-for-profit organisations in England and Wales.
These grants are designed to support projects that aim to raise the quality of life for individuals, particularly targeting the young, elderly, disabled, and disadvantaged.
If your organisation is involved in community, education, health, or social welfare projects, this is an excellent opportunity to secure funding for your initiatives.
Eligible projects
The Foundation focuses on capital projects across four key areas:
- Community
- Education
- Health
- Social Welfare
Examples of supported projects include:
- Refurbishing and upgrading community village halls
- Providing resources and support for special education needs in children and adults
- Improving the infrastructure of hospices and treatment clinics
- Supporting day centres that cater to the elderly population
- Procuring minibuses and other vehicles essential for transporting those most in need within local communities
Grant levels
The Bernard Sunley Foundation offers three levels of grants to suit various project needs:
- Large grants – £20,000 and above
- Medium grants – Up to £20,000
- Small grants – £5,000 and under
While large and medium grants are reviewed and decided upon at Trustee meetings, small grants are approved by Trustees monthly and constitute the majority of grants awarded.
