Moore Thompson starts new year with celebration of staff long service

A job for life has become somewhat of a rare concept these days, but East of England Moore Thompson is bucking the trend as it celebrates the long service of 11 staff members.

With some serving up to 42 years at the practice, the firm has got together to celebrate this incredible achievement.

The longest serving member of their team, Stephen Page, joined the firm in 1981 and has risen through the ranks to become a Senior Tax Manager at their office in Spalding.

He is joined by the following long serving staff members:

  • Derek Ketteringham – 35 years
  • Sharon Kisby – 34 years
  • Michelle Cozens – 34 years
  • Julie Malkin – 34 years
  • Simon Brown – 31 years
  • Nigel Mace – 34 years
  • Barbara Slack – 30 years

A further three members of Moore Thompson’s team, Tony Gale, Nic Peck and Laura Grimer, have also celebrated 20 years at the practice.

To thank staff for their long service, Moore Thompson held special presentations at both their Christmas Party and in their offices, where gifts were handed out for their incredible work over the years.

Mark Hildred, the firm’s Managing Partner, who has himself spent 34 years at Moore Thompson, said: “We consider ourselves to be incredibly fortunate to have such long-standing members of staff, who between them have centuries of expertise in their respective areas of taxation, accounting and business advice.

“It stands as a testament to the camaraderie within our firm and the opportunities that we are able to offer to each member of our team.

“However, we never like to rest on our laurels and are always looking at ways of improving the work environment that we offer, especially as we welcome the next generation of accountants and advisers to our practice.

“I would like to say a big thank you to all of our staff, particularly those recognised by our long service awards, who continue to deliver an amazing service to our clients.”
